WINDSCREENS
Windscreen cracks are a common problem for drivers. Often some tiny little shard of stone flicks up off the road, hits the windscreen and suddenly there’s a little crack. Or sometimes it can be a heavier impact, causing much more damage. If you need help with replacements and repairs for windscreen chips and cracks, Auto Asylum Windscreens can help.

The question of whether to repair or replace a chip or a crack in the windscreen often comes down to two things – the amount of damage and the location. If the damage is within the area straight in front of the driver, then it must be no bigger than 10mm in size or you would fail your MOT. Elsewhere on the windscreen, the crack can be between 15 - 40mm, depending on how close the crack is to where the driver sits. Any bigger than these limits, then your car will fail an MOT – which means your car wouldn’t be roadworthy.
STONE CHIP REPAIRS
One thing about windscreens is that they often break at the most inconvenient moment – and the worst possible place! That’s where mobile windscreen repairs come in. Auto Asylum Windscreens can visit you wherever you are around the area and replace your broken windscreen.

When there’s damage to your windscreen, we always assess to see if we can repair first. A lot depends on where the chip or crack is, how big it is and if it is a danger to the structure of the whole windscreen. So if it is in front of your line of sight when you are driving, this might mean a replacement – because it is a fail on your MOT when it is due.

REPLACEMENT GLASS
It is most common that when the side window glass of your car is damaged, it will need to be replaced. They are made slightly differently to windscreens and this usually means that a replacement is the way to solve the problem.
We can replace the glass on almost any type of car and offer products to the OEM standards either from original manufacturers or high-quality suppliers. This means the new window will be to the same quality as the original one.

Like side windows, rear windows most often have to be replaced when they receive damage. That’s to ensure they remain strong, don’t shatter while you are driving and can take the weight of rain and snow as well as the motion of a windscreen wiper. If you have damage to your rear window, we offer a mobile service to inspect it and arrange a replacement.
A.D.A.S CALIBRATION
Vehicles are getting smarter at an unprecedented rate, meaning new types of calibrations and alignments are required to keep you safe on the road.

ADAS calibration is a process carried out to correctly align the cameras and sensors used by the systems that keep you safe on the road.
Completed to the manufactures required standards, ADAS Calibration ensures these devices are aligned correctly and keeping you safe.
